Hello,

I have just released the source for Bacula BETA version 1.37.38 to Source
Forge in tar format. Aside from a number of bug fixes to the 1.37.37 release
that you can see in detail in the ChangeLog, this release fixes both bug #402
in the bugs database and a more serious but similar bug. Both bugs involve
Bacula using an incorrect order to restore tapes.

Bug #402 arises when Bacula is writing more than one Volume *and* a pruning
occurs at the same time. This was fixed (I think) with a simple addition to
an SQL statement.

The other more serious bug is that Bacula can get any set of Volumes out of
order during a restore if those volumes were written at different times (i.e.
different jobs). As best I can tell, this bug has been in Bacula from the
beginning i.e. it exists in 1.36.3 too, and it always chooses to restore the
Volumes in sorted order (at least in my tests with SQLite and MySQL).
Normally, restoring Volumes out of order is not catastrophic -- *except* in
the case a file spans two volumes. In that case, the forementioned file will
be corrupted on restore. On the up side: normally, Bacula will detect this
and warn you.

Both these bugs should be corrected in version 1.37.38. Unfortunately, I'll
be out for a few days, hopefully, with an email connection.
