Hello,
I am having a problem with bacula 1.37.30 and restoring large(?) 150MB+
files. But it seems to be only some of the files (see extract from the
log below) and the files were *not* being used, they are self-extracting
archives being stored for download.
I see no serious problem... see below.
The system is Solaris 9 and bacula is running on the solaris system and
was built using GCC 3.4.2. The tape drive(s) are LTO-2 with new tapes.
Here is the snip from the failure e-mail:

This is the only file with a problem, I hope.
Now, I'm not fluent with version conrol systems, but I think I remember
that those ,v files do have something to do with some version control
system.
So, first of all, that's not the most serious problem as long as the
"real" file is saved and restored correctly.
Second, the reason for this. Most probably, the file was modified during
backup operation. This will make the backup unusable in most cases, and
is one of the reasons why people invented file system snapshots.

This *might* be more serious - did the btape tests run ok with your setup?
This looks like bacula doesn't like the way your OS treates EOF/EOD
marks - which could be corrected by your configuration - or that tape or
drive are damaged, need ceaning, or a slap on the case.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
Let me know if you need any other information.
Thank you,
