one file ( 20,394 bytes) for a 38 minutes?
Definitely quite long.
Now, without ever having really used file storage, I remember list
discussins where Kern explained that, even using file storage, the
volumes are read sequentially. This is a known "feature".
Depending on the version you use, things may be better or worse, but you
will have to wait for an answer from someone more fluent with file based
backups using bacula.
Or, of course, you search the list archives.

I use simple File storage

Hello!
I've a problem while try to restore files.
I've create a fake job (like it describe on manual):
Job {
Name = "RestoreFiles"
Type = Restore
Client = main-fd
FileSet="FullSet"
Storage = File
Pool = Default
Messages = Standard
Where = /tmp/restore
}
and then try restore some backuped files.
I choose job, mark files and say 'yes' for prompt.
stat dir show me:
46 RestoreFiles.2005-08-23_17.53.12 is running
but nothing happening - no one file was restored for a long time
Do you have any ideas?
