I have a backup tape that I think must have at least 1 full backup on it
-based on the number of bytes read by bscan and the progress messages
out of bscan.
At the end of the tape bscan sees something that disturbs it and it
terminates abnormally.
It does update the catalog with the right date but says it found zero
files.
This is the latest backup and I really need toget the files off this
tape. Is there anything that I can do to get bscan to be a bit more
robust about handling the failure. I would take as many files as I can
get off this tape. There are about 300,000 files on t tape but I am
really only in need of 100,000 or less. The rest of the files never change.
