It looks like my database server crashed during a
query of a completly different database. So the
question is what is the best way to recover when a
backup job fails? What I am trying to do is to archive
~350GB of data that we do not need to have online
right now. I created a new pool for this set. Then I
split this in two jobs Compressed and Original. The
first backup set Original completed without any
problems. Since the last tape of the first job was
only half full I used it to start the second job.
Today that job failed as above. I have not deleted
anything off the source so I can start again.

Thanks in Advance,
John
