This is also something I would like to see.  Sooo, an RFC sent to the 
bacula-devel list in the next few weeks would receive a lot of attention from 
me.  Please be *very* specific about what you want.   I think the current 
algorithm can be vastly improved, but just the same, if you ask for the next 
tape that will be mounted, then you or a job does a purge, it is possible 
that it will change.  In any case, if it is a question of mounting tapes, 
Bacula should in principle take any valid tape for the particular job even if 
it might ask for another or have a preference for another, a valid tape will 
be accepted.

Yes, unless the user is running on the ragged edge of available Volumes, in 
which case a pruning is necessary to come up with the right answer.
