> Well, basically something is seriously wrong with your system... Yeah. I tried mt -f /dev/st1 rewind again this morning and got "device busy" instead of "no such device or address". So I re-started the server and now everything is OK. Btape worked and as I type this, both drives are labeling new tapes. It's just an old piece of hardware that needs to retire.
