Hi,

I see no director entry in bacula-dir... there should be an entry with the name marlin-dir, but you didn't quote that.

My bacula-dir.conf doesn't have such a section.
The tutorial does not mention that:
http://www.bacula.org/dev-manual/Brief_Tutorial.html#SECTION000128000000000000000

That might be because the Brief Tutorial is, actually, rather brief :-)
You will have to read much more of the manual to deploy bacula in a more complex setup.

What am i missing excatly? (What is a directory entry)

Quoted from http://www.bacula.org/rel-manual/Configuring_Director.html#SECTION000142000000000000000:
The Director Resource

The Director resource defines the attributes of the Directors running on the
network. In the current implementation, there is only a single Director
resource, but the final design will contain multiple Directors to maintain
index and media database redundancy.

Director
Start of the Director resource. One and only one director resource must be
supplied.

Name = <name>
The director name used by the system administrator. This directive is
required.

Arno

Thanks, Mario
