Bear in mind that the maximum supported by most barcode readers is 8 characters, so it is a bad idea to have tape labels longer than this - bacula demands that the barcode match the label.

It may not seem to matter at the moment, but in future it can raise all sorts of headaches if you move to a tape drive or changer with barcode support in it.
