It looks to me like you are running on a pretty old version of Bacula
since the bsr file does not contain counts. What version are you using?

If you are on anything older than 1.36.2, then please upgrade to 1.36.3
and retry. If it produces the same thing, please submit a bug report
with the commands you used to do the restore (as you have below), the bsr
file (as below), and the job report output from the restore job as you
have summarized it below, but please also include the Job Report Summary
written at the end of the job.

Well, if I understand what you are doing, you are using the restore command, but at the last minute you set the Bootstrap file to none. If that is the case, I am surprised that it works at all, and if it does work, surely it is going to restore everything. In effect, you shot yourself in the foot.

Without a bootstrap file you cannot restore only a portion of the files.

Kern ,

I ran the same job with the bootstrap specified (sorry for the long paste , thought I'd include all the steps I did)

Building directory tree for JobId 495 ... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
1 Job, 184 files inserted into the tree.

You are now entering file selection mode where you add (mark) and
remove (unmark) files to be restored. No files are initially added, unless
you used the "all" keyword on the command line.
Enter "done" to leave this mode.

cwd is: /
$ unmark
No files unmarked.
$ cd d:
cwd is: d:/
$ cd Users
cwd is: d:/Users/
$ cd kaygee
cwd is: d:/Users/kaygee/
$ mark *
1 files marked.
$ done
Bootstrap records written to /var/bacula/restore.bsr

Still it restores everything..... not sure what I'm doing wrong , should I just upgrade and see if that solves the problem?
