Consider network throughput to the backup server. Play with the maximum concurrent jobs setting to find a value your server just can handle - if set too low you might run into problems with your backup time window. Stage the full backups so you don't run in trouble there - you're lucky if you can simply use Fri 16:00-Mon 8:00 and start all of them.
With these small filesets, you might consider supporting baculas further development - Job migration and a big hard disk with later migration to tape sound like what your client needs...
