Hiya,
The dmg file only includes the installer for the file daemon.
I heard about a fink package but never tried it out. If you are handy with
the terminal you can install Xcode which will give you the GCC compiler and compile bacula from source. You will probably have to use the option --without-readline or something similar(?) to disable readline.
