It would be awfully nice if there were a way to cancel a command in
every menu. For example, currently, if I type "label" and then decide
that I really didnt want to label anything, there is no way (that I know
of) to get out of the series of menus that guide one through the
labeling process, short of killing the bconsole process.

I suppose one really should just think carefully before issueing a
command, but this would be very handy for the more impulsive or
otherwise fallible among us. ;o)
