Pedro, Set these:
Automatic Mount = yes Always Open = no The tape will mount when needed, and after your backups are complete it will automatically "release" the tape for you. Assuming that the tape is no longer in use when you try to eject it it should let you take it out without typing the "release" command in bconsole.
