Should work as you want it - as long as you use the same job definition, which is normally the case. Backups of different levels can go to different volumes, pools, or storages.
Automatic upgrading and job overrides in the schedule are tricky, though - this should be discussed with Kern, but right now I've not got the time to check how it works and report this as a bug... anyway, when you have jobs and know that they would be upgraded you better start the upgraded version automaticall like run level=full pool=Full storage=xxx job=YYY
