I've tried MySQL versions 3.23, 4.0 and 4.1 and it changes nothing. Seems not to be a problem of this service. > at this time there are only some (8) test-jobs running, but they all start > at 1:05am, Maximum Concurrent Jobs is set to 10, so it should be no > problem... > what i didn't try till now is to play around with schedules, priorities... We've about 20 jobs starting at the same time and I've already changed priorities and schedules, but that didn't fix the problem either. > as said, this is currently only for evaluating bacula, testing the setup > and so on.... i plan to go to real in the next weeks, but if i don't find a > solution > for the hanging director.... Here is a similar problem. Bacula runs fine for a time without problems but since it should run real, the director hangs .... Currently we're only running the backups to tape (only one run per night) and i'm waiting for the failure. I've an idea: are you able to run the director in debugging mode (-d1000) for a while, espacially when the director hangs? If so, please mail me the output and I compare it to mine.
