Hi,

Following up some previous comments, a read of the 'DESIGN' document for
a python backup system called 'bup' may be of interest to those of us
interested in possible methods to use, in particular the means by which
one can repeatably identify contiguous byte spans of a file as having an
already stored hash, irrespective of the spans offset within a file.

Use git clone git://github.com/apenwarr/bup to retrieve.

Regards,

Howard
