It's not horrible. I agree that it is possible to miss the close button, but it is not easy. Out of ten tries, I managed to miss it once. Judging my eye, it seems to me that there is three or maybe four pixels between the buttons left side and the edge of the screen. That means it's far easier to close the window when you want to minimize it, but that's not what you're complaining about, even though you are mostly worried about inexperienced users. This is very puzzling to me. Can you explain that?
