I myself always work with a laptop and it isn't that comfortable to have to use keyboard shortcuts. It's much more ergonomic to purely use the touchpad. Therefore I find it hard to believe that removing this function from the title bar will be a step forward, it will much more probably be a step backwards. > (b) Reserve space in the title-bar just for dragging the window.
