So it's saturated normally, but when the mouse moves over it only running programs (and maybe the hovered launcher) remain saturated? I like the sound of that. My only worry is that new users will think they shouldn't interact with it since it desaturates when you mouse over. Still, I would be interested in playing with a mockup of that for a while and seeing how well it works in reality.
