I always use modkey = Alt on any target-machine.
Win is reserved for the master.
Works perfect and avoides confusion.
You just have to omit any "alt-key" sequences in your main rc.lua.
Otherwise you can try to configure teamviewer to transmit keystrokes
starting with "win". For details you might ask their support.
