Wow, an undead thread! :) I did check out lilyterm at the time and it did seem nice, but the lack of horizontal scrolling was really a show stopper. I still did not find any terminal emulator with this feature, but, until I do, I will not be motivated enough to make the switch from my old, feature-poor, trusty and fast xterm.
