I think you don't have right. When I'm using KDE, probably can use
Akregator. If gnome than liferea, etc. I think most DE has programs
almost every function. While awesome isn't DE (it's good, I think) but
the users wants extra programs and I'm curious that awesome-users
which program use.
By your logic should delete many articles from awesome-wiki (
http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Main_Page#More ).

Some weeks ago I've asked similar question about password manager [1]
and nobody said can't ask similar question. Hristo said that he can
use keepassx and now I'm using keepassx too :)

_Probably_ :) Probably some people use rss. If anybody doesn't use rss
or google-reader (s)he don't answer into this thread.
