I'm using awesome as window-manager of a remote-thin-client which is accessed via teamviewer. As I understand, they use the vnc-protocol, too.
I use modkey = "Mod1" on the remote.computer and »modkey. »"Mod4"« here in the office. So far, anything works as expected.
