Hi, I am just getting started to use awesome as my window manager. And
it was awesome indeed. I like it very much. I found the client
dockable fearue worked a little wired. The related configuration is :
{ rule_any = { class = {"ROX-Filer"}, icon_name = {"GrADS", instance =
{"Navigator", "gimp"}} }, properties = { floating = true }, callback
= function(c) awful.client.dockable.set(c, true) end },
You see that both the "Grads" and "firefox" clients have been set
dockable, but the dock behavior is quit different.
Grads can only be docked in the up-down direction(see screenshot 1 and
2), while firefox could just be docked in the left-right direction(see
screenshot 3 and 4). Could anyone tell me how to control these
behavior? Thank you!
