If urxvt a.k.a. rxvt-unicide is that good, it should have some option to suit our needs.
Has any of you tried lxterminal yet? I've been using it because it is basic and does all I need. It might not have that problem. Hello, I had similar problems with xterm, gave up and moved to urxvt, it has the issue you described but it's fine for me until i find a better solution. AFAIR, eterm is the one that worked fine when i did some tests, i just didn't move to it because i'm using url-select plugin for urxvt and it is really useful for me. I'm still looking for a better terminal that have a similar feature. Try eterm and let us know if it is an option for you.
