Not long ago I upgraded to Ubuntu Lucid from Karmic, and in so doing awesome was
brought up to version 3.4.3.
When this happened, certain keyboard commands, such as Mod4 + Shift + c to kill
a window, stopped working.
This happens with the default rc.lua that's included in the awesome package.

A few peculiarities about my setup:
I'm using an old Kinesis keyboard that doesn't have a windows key, so I've
mapped the home key to Mod4 using xmodmap.
I'm using the same xmodmap configuration as before the upgrade.
This mapping is definitely working, because commands like Mod4 +j and Mod4 + k
are working fine.

Any ideas on how I might approach this problem?

Thanks in advance,
