The avrtest simulator which is hosted in winavr http://winavr.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/winavr/avrtest/
had permanent problems with CVS access and authentication. In order to work around the problems I started a new copy-and-paste project at http://sourceforge.net/projects/avrtest/ Opening another project is not a good idea, IMO. It just makes maintaining harder and serves to confuse avrtest developers and users. Couln't the CVS problems be solved instead? Or CVS exported to SVN? The CVS web interface is more down-to-earth than the new crazy SVN view. SVN front end fails to display Makefile as text (even with svn:mime-type = text/plain), shreds displaying sources like avrtest.c, and misses a "download tarball" which was provided with CVS, etc. Any ideas how to proceed?
