It has been suggested to me that I look into the possibility of using the xmega 64a4 or 128a4 instead of the mega64/128 parts. Looking at the latest winavr I see there are new headers for xmega16/32A4 but not for 64/128A4. However, other than a few constants defining memory sizes and signatures the files for 16/32a4 are identical and can be scaled up for the larger memory parts. Is this a correct assumption?

However, reading xmega threads on avrfreaks, it sounds like only the xmega*A1 models are actually available. The A4 parts might not yet be ready or available yet? (I have not personally talked to a salesman regarding this.)
