Yup that was going to be a chlice as well. We started with BCEL (tied to a parser) bit could ot really work out how to do it properly and could not get help. The docs are still evolving. We are doing most work with a (don't laugh) Rhino using parser now. Stefano warned us not to do too many thing in parallel.
I have a feeling that direct use of com.sun classes is outside the agreement we have with Sun when we use Java. Just like use of -xbootclasspath.
But that is what the Cocoon Compiler invoker does. same with Ant, Jasper,
and anything else that dynamically compiles.
A "turn a blind eye issue" I think.
Also, the Jikes compiler works quite well....
Not written in Java :-(
But Cocoon's Compiler Invoker works just as well with it!
