I edited in the "set -x ; " so I could see what actually happened when
the scriptlet ran. Since the "top_srcdir" is ../../.., it goes into the
source tree's "doc" directory and tries to make a backup directory. That
doesn't work in "make distcheck". Also, "complexity.texi" is in the
build directory, not in the source directory. This code is completely
wrong to assume that it has to be in the source tree. Not all .texi
files are of necessity hand edited.
