Cannot locate /usr/share/aclocal/pkg.m4

Hi all,
I was trying to install automake 1.14 on Ubuntu 13.10 which comes with
automake 1.13 pre-installed. I appear to be missing this file
/usr/share/aclocal/pkg.m4. Is this file
auto-generated by the configure-make-install process, or is it to be
downloaded from
somewhere? Many many thanks in advance,
