Hmm, I didn't know about it, but ... reading the documentation, "bin_SCRIPTS" doesn't actually seem to do much of anything -- you still have to add your own rules to handle all the actual work, need to fiddle with EXTRA_DIST and CLEANFILES, etc. Indeed, doing what I did (putting the script in bin_PROGRAMS and adding a rule to build it) actually seems _easier_, as automake will do more automatically, and there's less to keep track of for the programmer.... -Miles -- In New York, most people don't have cars, so if you want to kill a person, you have to take the subway to their house.
