Has anyone successfully written a configure.ac that successfully tests for the Gnu Scientific Library (aka GSL)?
I would appreciate knowing how you did it? Additional comment: GSL requires an additional library so that the traditional test by compiling a test routine fails because there is no mechanism to test two libraries at once: -lgsl -lgslcblas Additional note: the test should not cause failure of the compilation as the library can function without the GSL library.
