Hi, the Autoconf Macro Archive distributes m4 source codes that contain comment lines beginning with multiple '#' characters, i.e. five of them, as in the following example:
http://autoconf-archive.cryp.to/acx_blas.m4 It appears that aclocal strips those "##### ..." comments while copying the macros into the generated aclocal.m4 file. I was wondering whether this behavior is intentional and, assuming that it is, what the rationale behind this decision might be. I'd appreciate any feedback on this matter. Best regards, Peter
