Thanks for your advice.
I checked in Makefile.in Makefile.am and configure.ac. And also an execute file called autogen.sh, because this file can be used to generate other things automatically. However, when I check out and execute the autogen.sh and make, compiling fails with the following error [EMAIL PROTECTED]> make cd . && \ /bin/sh /home/jigsaw/dev/jhwgu/src/jz/missing --run automake-1.9 --gnu Makefile Makefile.am: required file `./NEWS' not found Makefile.am: required file `./AUTHORS' not found Makefile.am: required file `./ChangeLog' not found Makefile.am:10: `dist_doc_DATA' is used but `docdir' is undefined make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1 Here is the my autogen.sh ================================================== #!/bin/sh # Run this to generate all the initial makefiles, etc. # This was lifted from the Gimp, and adapted slightly by # Raph Levien .
