FWIW, fink has done wonders for my open-source software addiction. :) When being prompted through the configuration process, I recommend enabling the 'unstable' tree which contains several times more packages. After installing and configuring fink, % fink selfupdate (update package descriptions, re-index) % fink install automake1.9 (gets you automake 1.9.6) % fink install libtool14 (gets you GNU libtool 1.5.22) % fink install autoconf (gets you autoconf 2.60) Fang
