i am going to take a break from this i think. i have been reading examples manuals for at least 2 weeks on this. too much time. and i still can not get it to work.
i put the lastest try at icarus.cc.uic.edu/~mhull1/mine-0.0.9.tar.gz i have automake version 1.4 - 1.9 installed. i was at first using 1.4 and then tried 1.6 to use the single top level makefile. i have autoconf version 2.13 and 2.59 installed. feel free to let me what i missed. for the time being i am going to write configure with perl to output the make file. i can compile this test with 1 or 2 gcc commands, but that wont work as i expand this project. thanks matt
