Hi, Why do I need to have --enable-maintainer-mode switch on when I run configure in order to get the version.texi file?
I would expect this file to be generated when I generate the Makefile.in's with the command automake -afc. Up until now, I've never had to use the --enable-maintainer-mode switch, and don't want others to have to in order build out of tree. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bob Rossi
