A user noticed that "distclean" fails because it is apparently using DIST_SUBDIRS as its list of things to clean instead of SUBDIRS; a plain "configure" for this package will not create all of the subdirs possible... (I list all of them in DISTCLEAN_SUBDIRS and wiggle DISTCHECK_CONFIGURE_FLAGS so that "distcheck" does produce a "full" tree.)
Is this a bug or a feature? H
