Not easily. You could probably remove them in a dist-hook, though
I've never tried that.

They should each include their own version.texi: version1.texi,
version2.texi, or whatever. Oops, this isn't documented. I'll check
in a documentation patch. (I doubt anybody ever heard me say that
before :-)
