Not really, the CVS repository contains the full tarball (with
configure, Makefile.in etc.).

I want Autoconf to be the first to use what it advocates, but we sure
can roll back to using the beloved aclocal :).

Not only that, it won't see the new AC_SUBST which are in the library
files, such as M4, from AC_PROG_GNU_M4 :(  So you have to install the
@M4@ yourself.  But this one is already added by hand.
