The autoconf manual explains AC_TYPE_SIZE_T thusly:

 - Macro: AC_TYPE_SIZE_T
     Equivalent to `AC_CHECK_TYPE(size_t, unsigned)'.

Why can't it just tell me what this macro does, right here? Why do I
have to go investigate how another macro, which is by the way deprecated
in this usage (as far as I can tell), works in order to find out?

If I felt confident that I fully understood what the above really meant
I'd offer up a patch. If someone wants to explain it to me I'll still
do so although that seems like a roundabout solution :-).

Thanks!
