Yes, but we could do it better.
Here's a suggestion: take the logos from the Plan of St Gall.
This is a famous architectural diagram from the middle ages.
That would be really classy.
Various programs could take a piece of the Plan for their logos. I
think a good piece for autoconf would be the vestibule, as it looks
like a "C" and "configure" is the "entrance" for most GNU packages.
