Actually, yes. Use emacs' vi-emulation (viper) mode. It provides
all the wonder of emacs while retaining a user-configurable amount of
compatibility with Vi. I'll never go back. It took a little while to
get used to some of the (small) differences and quirks, and to acquire
enough emacs-knowledge to get around in other useful `modes', but that
small effort has paid for itself *many* times over the years.
