I am continuing to work on the index for the Writer Guide. I have
two chapters to go (Fields and Forms) before I have finished a
first-pass indexing, after which I will start editing the index
entries in all chapters. I have been working on this for so long
(and I have such an undisciplined approach) that I know there
will be major inconsistencies that I will have to fix.
I know that several chapters have been revised significantly
since I first indexed them; I will have to pay special attention
to the new and changed material, so this process is going to be
slow. My target date for completion is the end of January, but I
am making no promises.
At some point (I hope some time this month) I will let the rest
of you know that the index is ready for others to review.
