I only realised by now that one value of
reftex-label-alist-builtin
is indeed
("\\footnote[]{}" ?n "fn:" "~\\footref{%s}" 2
(regexp "footnotes?" "Fussnoten?"))
But how is supposed to work?
I tried out \footnote[fn:1]{This}
but reftex did not find this label.
Then, is there any automatic way to obtain a label in footnote, in the
same manner reftex adds automatically labels to equations say?
