This release is a really major change - we're slimming down the host by default, and moving towards containerized + pkg-layered components more strongly. In particular for Kubernetes. For more information, see: https://lists.projectatomic.io/projectatomic-archives/atomic-devel/2016-August/msg00054.html Before I forget, I should note this update also rolls in various base security+bugfix updates for kernel/python etc. We changed the version numbering format to start with 7 (for clarity) and also the way alpha promotions work from the "continuous" stream as well, which represents a discontinuity. For more information on that, see https://github.com/CentOS/sig-atomic-buildscripts/pull/146 The `atomic` command appears as downgraded because we switched to building it directly from git via rpmdistro-gitoverlay, but the content is actually newer.
