If you don't have hardware echo cancellers, and you don't define a software echo canceller in /etc/dahdi/system.conf, then it's completely logical that asking the channel driver to enable echo cancellation will result in an error message... there's nothing to enable. Either ensure all your boards have hardware echo cancellers and they are not disabled, or enable a software echo canceller. -- Kevin P.
