Thank you - that clarifies some things. I had tried using my VPN IP's -
due to the source-NAT IP changes ASSP couldn't properly identiy the
connection. I've changed to using the external IP's and modified my
firewalls accordingly to open the relay ports. Eventually I'll re-write
my firewalls to handle this communication within the VPN.
Now I have a new problem. When I set BlockRepForwHost on host 1 to point
to host 2, host 2 starts madly processing block report requests. I see
no log activity on host 1, and I'm not initiating a block-report request
(and I'm the only one who would send such messages) - but suddenly host
1 starts sending block report requests to host 2 non-stop.
I can see the connections originating on host 1 via my firewall - again
no ASSP log entries are showing on host 1. But host 2 is suddenly
receiving block report requests from host 1 in a constant unending
stream. Stopping/restarting either or both ASSP's only interrupts the
flow for a brief period - then something happens and it starts again.
